We will be welcoming Reverend Doctor Jaime Faberllé to Lakewood Church on July 1, 2026, and (it’s pronounced Fab-re-je - like the Fabergé Egg!)

Pastor Jaime came to Florida from Puerto Rico, and, yes, he speaks Spanish, as a youth and received his calling to the ministry at the young age of 15. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of Central Florida then went on to earn his Master in Divinity and Doctor of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. His first ministerial role was Youth Minister at the age of 21 for University Carillon UMC in Orlando, then he served at University Carillon as Associate Pastor and later was appointed as Pastor to Christ to the Nations church, also in Orlando, then was appointed to serve Faith UMC in Orlando until 2016. In 2016, he was appointed to St Johns Methodist Church in Sarasota where he has served as their Pastor for the last 10 years.

His wife Julie is a middle school Spanish teacher with the pubic school system in Sarasota and intends to continue teaching middle school Spanish, hopefully for Duval County. They have two children, a daughter, Grace, who recently graduated from college and is preparing to continue her education in the medical field. They have a son, Daniel, who is currently attending college in Orlando and studying theme park management.

Jaime has served as chaplain for Orlando Police and while in Sarasota has served as chaplain to a local hospital, and has served several community organizations including The Haven, a daycare for people with disabilities, Florida Children’s Home and currently serves the Florida Global Methodist Conference on their Board of Ministry, with our pastor, Mike Moore. He also attended Asbury with Mike Hudson; our Mike Hudson who is pastor at Crossroads and now our new Presiding Elder.

There’s more to tell about Jaime, but he wants to personally share his story and experiences with you when he joins our church in July.
