"Thank you, thank you, thank you for making Cardboard City 2025 such a success. It was the best - the best structures, most people and the most money raised. The energy and enthusiasm your Family Promise Club brings gives Cardboard City life and energy. We are so grateful for Lakewood's hospitality." -Beth Mixson, Family Promise Executive Director
On Saturday, November 15, Lakewood Church hosted Family Promise for their annual Cardboard City fundraiser. This is an opportunity for local clubs and organizations to support Family Promise and their mission by raising funds and by raising awareness of homelessness. Participants built cardboard structures where some of them slept, while others slept in their cars to help simulate the effects of experiencing homelessness. This was an incredibly successful event for Family Promise with over 300 participants and a record breaking amount of money that was raised! Thank you Lakewood for your support of Family Promise of Jacksonville!
