We are excited to announce that we have a team returning to The Quessua Mission located in Angola, Africa, this August 5 - 20, 2025.
Our team will be working on numerous projects:
David Johnston will be doing electrical work at the School of Theology and helping to convert a shipping container into the new RUTF facility.
Michele Johnston is team leader and will be assisting in making RUTF, working with teenage girls in the local villages and having art classes with the local children.
Kevin Ray is an EMT and our team will be purchasing 2 AEDs (defibrillators) to take to Quessua. Kevin will be training the clinic staff in using them.
Staci Roberts is a pediatric nurse and will be working with Serguey (dentist) in the clinic and working with other clinic staff.
Dr. Ben Jacobs will be going back to Quessua to continue his work on the malaria prevention project. We will all have the opportunity to assist him.
We are planning on taking 50 newborn kits. Each kit include diapers, safety pins, a sleeper, a onesie, a hat, a receiving blanket, washcloth and a sweater.
If you would like to assist, orders can be placed through our Amazon wishlist which can be found by clicking the link above. Donations can be made to the church office.
We would like donations to be in by July 27.
We ask that, first and foremost, you please keep us all in your prayers. Please pray that our hearts remain turned to God as we seek His voice, pursue His will, and serve him in any way He asks.
If you would like to make a donation to assist in this mission trip, you can donate online to Lakewood Church and choose Angola in the drop down menu or by check to Lakewood Church, 6133 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl.
